"The First Baptist Church youth ministry is designed to lead all teens to a deeper relationship in Jesus Christ, as well as the saving knowledge of Jesus under the direction of the Holy Spirit. This is accomplished through discipling teens, mission trips, prayer, fellowship and events that build up the body of Christ. If you don't have God in your life or want to know how to draw closer to God, then we hope and pray you will come and find out what God's word says. GO WITH GOD!!!"

Weekly Opportunities:

Sunday Bible Study - 9:15 a.m. - Small group Bible study that
teaches God's Word and how teens may apply it to their daily lives.

Disciple Life - Wed. - 6:15 p.m. - Large group Bible study with
practical applications.  Disciple Life involves teens in music,
games, videos, & prayer time.

Monthly Opportunites:

Deeper Discipleship/Youth Outreach (Sept. - May) - Students
who want to go deeper in their faith, experience small group
discipleship courses that involve daily quiet time and personal study. 
Youth also go out once a month to visit with teens who have not
attended church in a while or who may be prospects for our church.

Prayer Breakfast (Sept. - May) - Students gather to eat together,
fellowship and spend time in prayer each week.

Prayer Luncheon (June - Aug.) - Students gather to eat together,
fellowship and spend time in prayer each week.

Major  Ministry Events:

Luau: mid August

Fifth Quarter Fellowship (after Friday football games) - This event
takes place in our Family Life Center.  Students enjoy pizza, our
game room, volleyball, basketball & great fellowship.  A perfect
event to invite friends!

See You At The Pole (Wednesday, September 26, 2007)
This annual world wide event involves junior high and senior high
students praying for their country, city, school, teachers and their
friends around their school flagpole.  This has lasting impact as God
honors the prayers of His people.

Disciple NOW (Spring) - This is the biggest weekend of the year
on a local level in the  life of our student ministry.  It is a highly
intense, small group Bible study weekend.  Outside leaders are
brought in to teach and lead in contemporary worship.

Student Life Conference - The best 2 day conference of the year
with exciting praise & worship music, the best drama groups in the
USA & powerful preaching from one of God's best youth speakers
of their generation.  Teens are definitely challenged to grow in their
faith & to witness to their friends.

MissionFuge/Centrifuge - We do M-fuge or Centrifuge where our
teens have the choice of working with children, sports camps, social
services, drama & music, or painting, construction & yard work.  This
trip and other mission projects, including local ones, have our group
to be more missions-minded and service-oriented for God.

Youth-Led Children's Day Camp (June)
Teens are the leaders for 1st - 4th grade camp held for four days and
Involves horseback riding, archery, crafts, games, Bible studies and
swimming.
