Guardian Shelter Different groups
in our church help the residents in areas such as self-help and personal
hygiene plus doing fun activities such as arts and crafts. Refreshments
are served. These same types of projects are also done separately with
the children at the shelter.

Friends Club WMU groups go to an
apartment complex monthly and lead children in Bible Study in a club
atmosphere.

Pleasent Acre Day School
Senior adult ministries budget funds to support this ministry. Also, the
residents are served lunch and invited to perform annually for the Count
On Us Club.

Stewpot Cleaning supplies are
furnished the Stewpot regularly. Each week our surplus food is given to
the Stewpot which is ready to serve. Several of our groups also collect
canned goods for the Stewpot.

World Changers First Baptist
Church spearheads the feeding and housing of hundreds of youth who come
to Natchez from other states to do mission projects in Natchez and Adams
County. Each roofing construction project requires about $2,000. Our
church has sponsored at least one project each year. World Changers
completes about 20 construction projects every other year. This requires
quite a commitment of time, people, facilities, and resources.

Catholic Charities The Benevolence
Committee cooperates with this organization to assist local people
through crises times such as medical, financial, family stress, and
death. Catholic Charities also is the organization which operates the
Guardian and Sunshine Shelters. The Love Fund is used for this ministry.

Missions Day Each March,
First Baptist Church groups do different types of mission work in
Natchez. We have groups teaching Bible studies and playing games
with people who live in apartment complexes and nursing homes.
Some men service cars of widowd and widowers. Some groups help clean
homes, do construction jobs, and clean or mow yards. Some groups
do servant ministries such as picking up trash, prayer walking,
distributing water and taking snack lunches to personnel at the
hospitals, police station and sheriff's office.

Baptist Children's Village First
Baptist Church regularly gives financially to support this state-wide
Baptist ministry to special children. The Village has at least five
campuses located throughout the state. Courts and other agencies in
Natchez send several children and adolescents to the Village. The
Village is committed to meeting the needs of each child while that child
must be removed from his/her home. This includes professional help at
all levels which is very expensive.

Hospitals Magazines are provided
for all patients. Medical personal are provided lunch on Missions Day
each March.

Angel Tree Each Christmas our
church provides gifts for at least 40 children from
Natchez or Adams County as well as children at the Baptist Children's
Village.

Nursing Homes Different mission
groups involve all age-groups to minister to the nursing homes with
music, devotionals and Christmas gifts. The WMU makes lap robes each year
for the nursing homes.

Law Enforcement Each year our
church recognizes the Police and Sheriff Departments as a part of
Missions Day.

Thanksgiving Baskets Each year our
church provides a basket of food to approximately 15 families. This
project involves the entire Sunday School. Each basket can be valued at
$50.

Natchez Interagency Council
Ongoing cooperation with this council insures coordination and avoids
duplication while making sure that only the truly needy receive
available assistance.

Adams Baptist Association Our
local association of 12 Southern Baptist churches work together to start
new churches and mission points, share Christian fellowship, support
each other in times of need, assist each other with leadership training
for volunteer workers in church programs, and coordinate mission
projects such as partnerships with other associations, states, and
mission points around the world.
